1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set up schedules and modify the behavior of the S1.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them and even managed to cross thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, but it sometimes struggled to get down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
The S1's docking station automatically empties its trash bin and fills its water tank on board with clean, ozonated waters prior to each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it needs to be cleaned, although this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working well. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming blocked. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
